What better way to round off 2021 than as finalists in two key industry awards and winning one?
Firstly for ‘SME of the Year’ at the 2021 Suffolk Business Awards in November, which we were proud to be listed as finalists. Secondly, we were named finalists in two categories at the BIFA Freight Service Awards: ‘Extra Mile’ and ‘Supply Chain Management’ and are extremely proud to say we were awarded the Extra Mile Award.
We won for our work with Mexico City Metro and our vital role in the fulfilment of time-critical delivery of track components. This was a major undertaking that saw us, not only taking on their customary role of freight forwarder and total logistics manager, but embracing the additional role of the assembly line for the actual finished parts. The end result being that the Mexico City Metro was able to run on time – an achievement made all the more considerable given the logistical challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic and the Suez Canal closure of March 2021.
These awards are a huge credit to our team’s hard work over the past 12-18 months. They’ve consistently found innovative solutions for our clients in the highly challenging circumstances around Covid and Brexit. They deserve every recognition.
