We’re nothing without our dedicated team at Hemisphere Freight Services. That’s why we like taking the time to recognise those colleagues who have reached significant milestones with the company. With that in mind, here are the HFS team members who have recently celebrated work anniversaries.

Tracy Reidy

Tracy has now been at HFS for an outstanding 15 years. As a key member of our import ocean freight department, she has seen the team grow and the company develop into what it is today.

In her role, Tracy arranges imports on behalf of a number of customers, which includes UK customs clearance services and arranging delivery of shipments to their final destination in the UK. “I like that everyday is different, with new challenges arising all the time,” said Tracy. “This helps my knowledge flourish and allows me to give guidance to new customers in a similar situation.”

Tracy was recently awarded a BTEC Intermediate Award in Customs Export and Import Procedures from BIFA, a testament to her dedication to improving her knowledge and skills for the benefit of the import department at Hemisphere, and the company as a whole. Tracy added: “I look forward to continuing to expand my knowledge going forward, and enjoy working with a team that also feel like family.”

Ben Gammon

It’s a decade for Ben Gammon, who celebrates an impressive ten years as credit controller at HFS. Ben’s role is crucial to ensuring the payments of invoices are successful, and that the credit and cash flow processes are monitored. This role includes a large amount of resolving internal and external queries regarding payments, and perhaps most importantly keeping a watchful eye out for any errors or fraudulent activities within the company accounts.

As a member of the HFS company running club, a major achievement for Ben was completing the Ipswich 10k in 2017 with colleagues Glenn Yellop and Suzie Smith (his very first 10k, and very first win we hasten to add!).

Sonya Fletcher

Sonya is a freight administrator in our ocean export operations department, and is celebrating her eighth year as a member of our team. Sonya’s responsibilities span across the administrative processes and bookings that keep Hemisphere’s ocean exports running smoothly throughout the Far East, Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan, Lebanon and Cyprus.

Not only is Sonya an important point of contact for a lot of our customers, but she has also shown commitment to learning and developing new skills to aid her varied workload. From making the bookings for various shipments right through to completing customs entries and sending the final documents to our agents, every aspect of Sonya’s role requires an impressive level of organisation and effective time-management.

Lisa Hollick and Ricardo Branco

A massive congratulations to both Lisa Hollick and Ricardo Branco, who are celebrating three years respectively at HFS.

Lisa works in our warehouse department as a warehouse administrator and enjoys the day-to-day challenges that come with working in such a busy environment, as well as the opportunities to develop strong, lasting relationships with her colleagues.

Ricardo’s role as traffic administrator encompasses a wide array of tasks and responsibilities, including liaising directly with customers in relation to the transport of their goods, assisting with the planning/routing of HFS vehicles, being an important point of contact for our drivers (including organising paperwork and briefing on their specific jobs), and providing support to Hemisphere’s transport supervisor Paul Milligan.

Ricardo only ever has nice things to say about his colleagues here at HFS: “Every department has incredible staff, who are always ready to help in any situation.” And he recently received praise of his own, being recognised for his commitment to great customer service by one of our largest clients.

It doesn’t stop there, however. Ricardo has big plans to continue his learning and development at HFS. “I would like to keep learning everything there is to learn in regards to transport, and hopefully keep growing as an individual.”

If you can’t tell by now, we’re incredibly proud of every single member of the HFS team. To enquire about career opportunities with HFS, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, or read more about why we have been recognised for our commitment to staff development.
