Taking positive action towards sustainability and social responsibility
Our actions
From building a carbon-neutral warehouse, Port One, to installing solar panels on our warehouse roofs UK-wide, we’re implementing a number of large-scale, sustainably-driven initiatives. These also include electric handling equipment, carbon-optimised waste management and more environmentally friendly packaging.
We can provide visibility on emissions in order to understand the environmental impact of our services and make informed decisions on how to reduce our carbon footprint. This not only helps us identify areas for improvement but also empowers our customers to have choices around more sustainable options.
Our global transport experts are able to provide specialist recommendations on logistics options and alternatives where carbon reduction can be gained, such as shipment consolidation, modal shift and including use of rail.
Small adjustments can yield significant efficiencies.
We hold continuous improvement discussions with customers – quarterly, monthly or even weekly – to help maximise efficiencies. Sharing more carbon efficient practices that not only have strong environmental benefits, but also offer cost efficiencies for your business.
Our future thinking
Operating sustainably and protecting the environment is something we take very seriously here at Hemisphere.
By proactively embracing these initiatives, we ensure we’re not only meeting regulatory and legislative requirements, but are also driving change that helps shape new industry standards.
