Liverpool Gas Scrubber
Overview
Hemisphere were very pleased to provide our UK handling and transport services on this recent project – moving a 32-metre high Gas Scrubber system from Liverpool port to the final project site.
Having been involved from the initial quotation stage, our project manager was in contact and on hand at all times to oversee every aspect of the movement from planning to operation completion. Our role was to move all the various dismantled sections and packed parts of this Gas Scrubber system from vessel arrival at Liverpool port, through to the final destination at the project site, approximately 60 miles away in Lancashire.
Results
Our project managers attended numerous pre-delivery site visits at the receivers request to create a suitable plan for delivery. They also visited the discharge port to agree lifting and handling plans with the port authority, along with co-ordinating the deliveries with our specialist trucking vendor, the police and highways authorities.
Once everything was planned, a Hemisphere project manager was in attendance for all of the exceptional convoy deliveries and was available whenever needed to liaise between all the UK parties involved.
The total process was lengthy and presented various hurdles but, when the last piece of cargo was eventually delivered on time and on budget, everybody involved was very satisfied with the result.
